Intellectual Disabilities
I collaborate with parents and group home coordinators to develop treatment plans for adults with profound to moderate disabilities. My goal-focused approach adheres to the patient’s intellectual capacity and accommodates their individual needs.
What Is a Treatment Plan?
A treatment plan is essentially a roadmap for caregivers to follow to help people with intellectual disabilities become more self-sufficient and capable of fitting into a group home or family structure. Plans typically include hands-on, repetition-based activities revolving around goal-setting and positive reinforcement.
